How to Create a Tournament Using the Wildgamesports Scoring System  »

- This is ideal if you want to create a quick tournament with friends which include all species.

- All players have to do is just update their scorecard based on their successful harvest, the scoring system was designed by expert outdoor enthusiasts. The species list contains big game, small game, fish, and birdswith each species associated with a point between 1 and 25 depending on the difficulty of the harvest

How to create a tournament using the wildgamesports scoring system

  1. Click on "Create Private Tournament"
  2. Enter the details of the tournament, such as name, and start date
  3. To use wildgamesports scoring system click "No" to Do you want to customize points or add only specific species? *and then click "Submit"



  4. To invite Friends to your tournament click "Invite Friends" and you will be directed to a screen to invite friends using an automated email or by cutting and pasting a unique link.
  5. To update your scorecard click "Update Scorecard"



  6. You will be redirected to your personal scorecard. To add a Harvest to your scorecard click "Add Harvest to Tournament Score"



  7. Submit the information of your harvest. You will notice a "Species" selection list. This list contains fish, big game, small game, and birds. Select your harvest. In this example we have selected "Northeastern Whitetail"



  8. You will be redirected back to your personal scorecard where you can add another harvest to your scorecard or edit details.
  9. To go to the tournament standings, click "Standings"
  10. You will now see the updated standings with "white tail deer" added to your scorecard. In the following example pearllike has 8 points and wildgamesports has 0 points



How to create a fishing derby (using your own scoring system)

In this example we are going to create a fishing Derby (Trout Tournament)

  1. Click on "Create Tournament"
  2. Enter the details of the tournament, such as name, and start date and click "Yes" to Do you want to customize points or add only specific species? * and then click "Submit"



  3. To invite Friends to thetournament click "Invite Friends" and you will be directed to a screen to invite friends using an automated email or by cutting and pasting a unique link.
  4. To specifically add "Trout" to all the scorecards for players in the tournament you have a few options:

    • You can click "Add Species" to the tournament scorecard and use the wildgamesports scoring system. However, you will not be able to score by lbs (pounds).

    • In this example, we want to click "Add Custom Species to Tournament" because we want to score the tournament by lbs (pounds). We will add the following values all with a maximum bag limit of 5, meaning a player can catch 5 trout maximum for each category:

      Trout 1lb and score it 1 point
      Trout 2lb and score it 2 points
      Trout 3lb and score it 3 points
      Trout 4lb and score it 4 points
      Trout 5lb and score it 5 points




    In the above example we add the value "Trout 1lb" and we will give it 1 point and then we click submit. This record now appears in all the players scorecard. We then repeat this process and add the rest of the values such as Trout 2lb, Trout 3lb, Trout 4lb, Trout 5lb with their respective points.

    After adding the rest of the values the new scorecard now looks like thisbelow and all players in the tournament will have this customized scorecard to update when they successful catch a trout based on lbs (pounds):



  5. Now for an example, we have harvested two 5lb trout, so we will update our scorecard by clicking "Update Score" in the scorecard.
  6. We complete the information on the following screen. In this case we caught two 5lb trout so we also update the "Bag Limit" with the value 2 and click submit.



  7. Our updated score is now 10 points because 2 trout were harvested that were associated with 5 points each.



  8. You can click on standings to view the rest of the players and their scores in the tournament.

How to create a big buck tournament (using your own scoring system)

In this example we are going to create a big buck tournament based on antler points

  1. Click on "Create Tournament"
  2. Enter the details of the tournament, such as name, and start date and click "Yes" to Do you want to customize points or add only specific species? * and then click "Submit"



  3. To invite Friends to your tournament click "Invite Friends" and you will be directed to a screen to invite friends be either using an automated email or by cutting and pasting a unique link to distribute.
  4. To specifically add "Big Buck" to all the scorecards for players in the tournament you have a few options:

    • You can click "Add Species" to the tournament scorecard use the wildgamesports scoring system. However, you can will not be able to distinguish by pounds or tines.
    • Or you can click "Add Custom Species to Tournament". We will select this option because we want to score the tournament by antler points. We will add the following values all with a maximum bag limit of 2, meaning a player can catch 2 deer maximum:


      1 point Buck point and score it with a 5 point value
      2 point Buck and score it with a 10 point value
      3 point Buck and score it with a 15 point value
      4 point Buck and score it with a 20 point value
      5 point Buck or larger and score it with a 25 point value


    Example:




    In the above example we added the value "1 point buck" and gave it a 5 point score and clicked submit. We repeated this process for 2 point buck, 3 point buck, 4 point buck, and 5 point buck or larger. These records now appears in all the players scorecard.

    The new scorecard now looks like this below and all players in the tournament will have this customized scorecard to update when they successfully harvest a buck.



  5. Now for an example, we have harvested a 3 point buck, so we will click "Update Score" in the scorecard.
  6. We complete the information on the following screen. In this case we harvested one 3 point buck and we also update the "Bag Limit" with the value 1 and click submit.



  7. 7. Our updated score is now 15 points since the 3 point buck was associated with 15 points:



  8. You can click on standings to view the rest of the players and their scores in the tournament.
